Default Testing new light box.

After seeing a post on building a light box I figured I would try it out on my newly aquired Mod 15. Hope they look good.

Default Me too....

I saw the same thread and also built a light box. Obviously, I need to do some modifications.....maybe brighter lights or whiter whites. But....hey, it's fun. There's a S&W involved! Here's a shot of my 28-2.

And another.....

Both the guns are really nice! The light box makes a big difference.

Keep plugging away keeping in mind how far away your camera needs to be, white balance and EV(This is the relationship between shutter speed and your camera's aperture)
*Check out your manuals for this information.

However, if you decide to do nothing those pictures are more than good enough.

Thanks for sharing them.....

I've also done a little playing around. I didn't build a light box, but I seem to have come up with a nice solution....

Congratulations guys!

I went into Photoshop and made a few quick color corrections on your two photos. Hope you like the differences.

Tom

Light fall off in corners, or to the sides of photos can also be corrected when you are using white backgrounds. I already did this in the top photo.

Here's the second photo with corrections made to the upper right side on Photoshop.

Photo editing programs are our friend! Hope this helps, and again, congratulations. You (and I) will be having a lot of fun with our new light boxes!

Tom

gunnutt, I noticed the M15 is pinned - which model is that (15 dash what)? Model 15s are going for a lot of cash, and yours is excellent!

tom turner, thanks! it looks alot better. I will try it out. Was that you that posted as to how to build one? If so thanks alot for the info!

wvfishguy, it is a -4, last ones in pinned I believe. I picked it up just before the new year and just got around to photo it. I dont see many around me for sale so when this came up I snatched it. It looks like it was fired very little and I am glad to have it.

Hi,

Here's the link I posted about how to build a simple, economical light box with materials you may already have!

Making a Light Box . . . a big improvement
