Accessorizing a Prewar .38/44 HD with some Executioner Stags
I recently came into a set of Grashorn N-frame stags and decided to try them on the 1934 Heavy Duty I have previously posted here. The results kind of pleased my eye, so I thought I'd share some images.
There's something about a big, blocky .38/44 with staghorn magnas on it. And apart form looking kind of cool, this gun now fits my hand a whole lot better than it did with either contemporary service stocks or the Franzite grips it wore when I got it.

His elk horn stags can make any number of Smiths look good. Here's a pair on my rescued 4th 44 Hand Ejector Model of 1950:
Got a pair on my 1953 4" nickeled HD too:
My well worn pre-war 5" HD is pictured above. I need to get the correct stocks for it or put a pair of Grashorn stags on it too.

Theres something about a classic revolver wearing stags that makes it look "just right".

David,
That does look good. I should have bought a pair that sold on e-bay today for about $90. I imagine that would have been a good price. Thanks for the pics, now I know what to expect mine to look like if I manage to score a pair.

David, et al,
Those REALLY look good. I've always wondered how they would feel at the range. Glad to hear you like them.

The middle pair are Grasshorns, with some of my 38/44s, pre and post war.
