Default Help, I need some "blue boxes" ,,,

I just got 5 "small" boxes from S&W , I asked for the older style ( about 6" x 9" ) and they said these replaced the old "small" ones,,,,,,,,they are smaller than the "large" ones, but still too big.

My "safe" has very limited space and I could use 5 of the old 6 x 9 small ones if anybody has some,,,,,,,,, prefer none that have the latches ready to snap off.

Thanks in advance, BobT

Thanks "Son", I just read your idea and checked them along with CDNN & Midway, nobody had them. I'm sure in time a forum member will reply.

Thanks!

your post is a bit confusing, you say "blue" boxes, but what is the "latches about to fall off...??? do you want older ,two piece boxes or newer one piece, fold up type???

or plastic cases???

Yeah, that stumped me too. I use to have those dark blue cardboard boxes with the metal reinforced corners but that's as far back as I go. Before that, I believe they were a red. I bet if Smith reintroduced that style, folks like me would like them. The new cheap looking plastic goes right along with some of the other less refined variants from Smith' these days'. Anyway, I did fine this from Smith.

Do you want the small one that looks like a book (will hold 1 J frame + ammo and lockblade size) or the newer one that looks like the Glock style (with the horzontial ridges and will hold 2-3 J frames?

I knew it was the plastic ones, but I neglected to put it in the description.

I need the 6 x 9 plastic ones that I think a "442" would have came with.

As far as I know there are 3 kinds of latches, the one that I am looking for has latches that are monolithic to the lid and they are only good for "X" amount of openings before they break off.

I'll post some pic's later.

(mgjohn got it correct, it looks like a book and was for a single J frame )

THX!
