Default Thanks for help with M41

Wish the 'net was around when I had my first 41. Just got a second, pristine '57, in the first 2300 made. Mr Jinks confirmed. It has Herrett grips and was evidentially stored the last 50 years in a barrel of oil. I hope to find the rest of the gear in the estate. Traded a Ruger New Single 6 for it, even. Likely my best trade ever. I found the answers to all my questions lurking here, thanks to the group. And also thanks to whoever first put the maintenance book and photos in a link.

Welcome to the forum Carl Ivan! Congratulations on an awesome trade. That's the best one I've heard yet. Since you owned a 41 before I don't need to tell you what a quality gun it is. I have two of them myself, a 2008, and a 1983, and I don't intend to ever sell either of them.
Enjoy that 41, and how about some pictures?
Terry

Default Soon as I can reduce the file size

I'll send a photo soon. In no way does this trade migitgate the many whippings I've recieved in other deals, but it helps. I almost walked as I have other nice target guns, but good sense prevailed. I need to figure out how far to elevate the sight to hit the center from a 6 hold for our bullseye matches, it would be fun to use open sights at least once. The trigger on this 41 is as good as my Benelli MP95E, and better than my Beretta 89.
