Question Gunsmithing the 4006's?

Are any of our gunsmiths working on these pistols? I like the .40 S&W round, and the Gen 3 pistols. And I might be able to swap a Sig for a very low round 4006.

But I can only remember seeing a very few customized Gen 3's (outside of the PC pistols).

So, is the Performance Center the only place in town to get a customized 4006? I like several of the PC's guns, but there is something to be said for an individually worked on piece too.

Anyone know of any gunsmiths working on these?

What kind of work are you looking for?

Cosmetic changes to the exterior? Not sure on that one but Pistol Dynamics is run by former PC workers and that is where I would start.

They work on 1911s and not sure if they would dabble in sw.

If so...
Get your pocket book ready.

Pistol Dynamics is owned and opperated by Paul Liebenburg ([email protected]), or ([email protected]).

I believe if you ask anybody on this forum, you will find out that Paul started and ran the S&W Performance Center opperation with another forum member (WESMAN).

Take a look at my pictures in this post, page 4 post #35:

I'm reading that thread and appreciate the link.

I couldn't afford the PC 356's for sale here a while back (arrgh!!); there was a nice 5"er that I wanted. But if I can setup my DPA 5906 for it......

And regarding the standard 4006, I'd like smoother functioning and improved accuracy - not that I'm unhappy with the stock pistol, I just want more better.

I really like the idea of loading S&W rounds into a S&W......
