A while back (apparently more than 6pp) there was a thread and someone mentioned how to get a threaded barrel protector. Mine did not come with one, although the ones my local shop has do. Obviously, not critical but I would like to get one.

I have asked them about it but they said to call S&W. S&W said that they don't have a part # for it but to check them or Brownells in a few months. Possibly the parts list would be updated.

Anybody remember where this part was coming from?
