Default Will the .17 HMR round penetrate a coin?

The title says it all. Will the factory .17 HMR rounds go through a dime or a nickel or a penny or a quarter at 15 or 25 yards?

Anyone done it?

Yes they will, they put a nice hole in a penny at 50 yards.

I can't say for the 17 HMR but I have put a Rem YJ 22 LR AMOST through a quarter (hit slightly off center and blew out the edge of the quarter) at 25 yards. Stateing that, I would think that the HMR would easily be able to penetrate any current US coin. I've got it around here some place and if I can find it I'll post a picture.

Coin yes.
Soda can filled with water at 75 yards, No.
But fun to see what happens.
It wont make it through the back side of the soda can.
