Exactly, I have a 40 sigma and a 40c M&P, if you can afford the M&P spend the extra money. If you can't get the Sigma and know you got the best value gun on the market. They both shoot great so either way you'll be ok.

Sigma 40 or M&P 40
I am thinking of purchasing one or the other. The Sigma is quite a bit less money than the M&P. Quality wise is there any real difference between the two. I know the M&P has the grip inserts. but what else does it have to justify the increase in price.
Thanks for your input.

Its all about the money really. The Sigma is a great gun. Reliable and well made, they fit my hand like a glove... But the M&P has a better trigger looks better and is just all around a bit nicer. Its like a Camaro and a Corvette. The Camaro is great but if ya can afford it wouldn't ya rather have the Vet?

Just read the Firing Line Link. Overall very positive opinions on "our" pistols. Maybe Sigma has turned the corner Public Relations-wise. Of course that could be bad, the price might go up!

Excellent Marcus, excellent!
Do you prefer having the manual safety on the M&P vs having no safety?

Thanks!
I prefer to have the safety on my full sized since I OC with that gun while I work so just in case I lose my gun, I have the safety to hopefully save my life and buy me enough time to use my BUG. I've been practicing pulling it out of my holster while turning off the safety and I feel that I can turn it off if I have to use it. I don't want a safety on my compact because I pocket carry it and didn't want tthe safety to jab my thigh. All and all, I love both of my M&Ps and I'm happy with them. As far as the M&P vs Sigma, I don't feel the recoil as much when I shoot the Sigma vs the M&P but I can shoot better with the M&P.
