Went looking for a Smith and got this by mistake!
Went looking for a model 49 but found this instead. $ 175.00 plus tax out the door. I guess that was a deal? Made the impulse buy. Should clean up nice except for the scratches. It's a shooter for sure...

It's hard to tell from the tiny photos, however, but it would appear that you got a pretty good deal...

Same thought here, the photos are way too small to judge but overall for $175.00 I think you did real good.

Decent price for most any major maker revolver in serviceable condition *if* it is good condition mechanically. Not too many people work on Colt DA revolvers any more, so getting one serviced can be a problem should the need arrive.

You kicked butt on that deal. I don't know if it's a Det. Special or a Cobra. Or an Agent. Look at my beloved BLUE WORN 1953 Cobra that is mechanically like new. It cost $250 which is a deal out here. Here it is in a holster I just made the other day and sold to a guy on another forum. This is our go eveywear gun and just spent all day in my back pocket while up in the Sierra foothills today. You did really good.
