Default 915: Need clarification on correct factory finish(s)?

Regarding the Model 915's factory finish:

1)Did it normally come in a two-tone finish with a blue slide and a somewhat brownish anodized aluminum alloy frame-like is shown in the 915 link below?:
Smith & Wesson 915 - THR

2)If #1 above is true-then, was the Model 915 also offered with a brownish slide(Like the above frame)but with a blue frame-or, in other words, just the reverse of the 915 shown in #1 above?

The 915 came with a black anodized frame a blue slide. That pic may have an issue with lighting and photography.

Well, I've seen several different photos showing the black frame with the brownish slide-and, strangely, my 915 also looks this way? I just got this pistol and had thought the photos of it were off-due to the lighting showing the slide to be brownish in color? But, my new looking 915 does have a brownish colored slide! This puzzles me?

S&W went 'El Cheapo on the slide bluing. They all look nice and black when they come out of the box but then slow fade over time and exposure.

Well, that's a shame-because, other than the the slide coloring change, my 915 looks new and in unfired condition! I guess that you must be right about the 'EL Cheapo bluing being the cause! Thanks!

Black anodizing turn brown under heat/light exposure. I know this from my years in paintball. The only way to correct it is to re-anodize it. I personally don't know of any anodizers who have FFL's that can do this but there are many good ones out there for paintball. It may be worth looking into. Just be prepared because many have a 6-9 month backlog. I once sent a paintball gun to a company and forgot about it. It showed up 13 months later. It was almost like Christmas.

1)Actually, I was mistaken about the slide being brown. I found out that the finish on the slide looked brown only under certain lighting and sometimes silver gray or blue. So, the slide really is blue and definately not brown. The gun really is in NIB condition!

2)There's no problem at all with the black anodized finish on the frame. But, I appreciate your comments regarding the potential browning of this black finish and will save this information for future reference....just in case? Thanks!
