We all knew, that, in the service there was a buddy that your life and his would always be remembered. A great tribute to your dad and his buddy....Saepe Expertus, Semper Fidelis. and Fratres Afteri.......

I should have clarified the message. The author is not me or related.

I have read this same thing many times. Actual surviving combat vets remember their young buddies as such.

I lost a friend when he was 19 in a car accident. I still remember him at that age and what he missed from life and what we missed by his passing.
