Purchased a M25 heritage model
It's a S&W M25 Heritage model.
Mine is chambered in .45 ACP with a matte blue (military finish) and resembles the M1917 although it's a RB instead of a SB. Other versions had high polish blue and case color hardening.
It is 1 of only 150 made. The box and all the original documentation and accessories were included.
It balances extremely well with the tapered 5.5 inch barrel.

The Heritage series were great revolvers that didn't seem to be too popular. That one is awesome.

No IL AND forged hammer/trigger. I have one just like it, and it's a terrific shooter. They made 150 in matte, 150 in bright blue and 150 with case colored frames. I bought mine with the intention of chopping it but it's such a nice gun, I may not after all.

No IL.
IIRC, these were made from 2000 - 2001, just before the IL became std. issue.

When I bought it I intended to use it as a shooter but after getting it home and having had a chance to examine it, I'm not so sure.

The grips on the model 24 and 1917 are both by Roy Fishpaw. I honestly don't remember what kind of walnut he used. I have his letter here somewhere, but no one knows where
The model 15 has Spegels.
