Default New Air Pistol

Just got this Gamo Compact air pistol. Just cock it one time and it's ready. The adjustable grips sold me on it. It seems to be one hole accurate from a rest at 10m. The trigger could be lighter, but it's not too bad. Great sight sights too. It's too hot outside, so this will make a decent indoor shooter.

Dave, what is the rated FPS? How much does something like this cost? (Where did you buy it?) What sort of effective range does it have? I'd like to check it out on the Gammo site, what is the model number? Is that enough questions? Oops, that was one more. (o;

Quality AP's are a ball to shoot. I currently use a IZH46M, by Biakal. Single stroke and does about 500 fps and shoots into one hole. They are excellent practice for bullseye shooting. I have a 10 meter range in lmy basement.

Steve, they shoot about 400 fps. I got this one at Bass Pro on sale about $250. Formal NRA targets are shot at 33ft. They would kill a rat or squirrel at 20- 30 yds I would think. I know it will puncture the side of a spray paint can at 15 yds. This is the first airgun I've had that compresses the air on closing stroke and is recoiless. It has a lot of plastic on it, so I'll see how it holds up. It really fits my hand well and balances good. Almost silent too.

Wonder what it would do to an Armadillo head? One of these may become part of my pest eradication program.
