Default Value of S&W 60-9

I have a Model 60-9 (.357, 2 1/8 bbl, pre-lock) with the original box and original grips. I am the original owner, and it is in 99%+ condition. I have not kept an accurate round count, but I would estimate that it has had no more than 2 50rd boxes put through it (and that's on the high side). I am interested in what the forum members opinions are as to the value of this revolver. Thanks in advance for your input and help.

Probably in the $450-500 range as described, less if you sell it to a dealer (profit margin). Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the quick response. It was helpful, but I was hoping it would have been worth a little more than that, seeing as it is pre-lock and all with the original box.

If you can sell to an individual, the $450 to $500 sounds pretty fair. I asked a friend who works at a pawn shop what he could give me for my 60-9 (box, papers, trigger job and better than standard grip stocks) and best he could do was $275.

My 60-9 is worn slick, wears even older and worse worn Sambar stag grips, and sports a long-since Dremel Tool-bobbed hammer. She has a 52" timber rattler, many barn rats, and a mile of other memories to her credit. Out of a 38 case, she'll still group 5 Lyman 358156s in front of a way-beyond +P dose of 2400 into a Skoal lid at several paces, but owing to her aesthetics, probably wouldn't bring 150 bucks of anyone else's money.

To me, though, she's "priceless".
