Almost as good a deal as I got on GB! I got an almost perfect 5906, in the box, with 2 mags and all the paperwork for $325. If I had seen the CDNN ad before I bought the one off GB, I would have gone that way instead. It's still a great deal on a great gun. S&W seems to be going out of their way to make me avoid their new guns. I don't care about any semiautos currently in production, and I don't like the ridiculous locks on the revolvers. Good thing there are so many great used ones out there!

That's a pretty sweet deal. The supply of cheap 5906's seems to be drying up pretty quickly. The supply of cheap magazines already has. If I hadn't just gotten a 5906, I'd be all over those. If I had any money in my gun budget I'd buy another one anyway!

The 5906's are super reliable and very inexpensive. I have a few scattered in strategic locations.

Download the catalog. Handguns won't have prices, but you can call and get prices on anything you're interested in.

Does anyone feel like me for letting those NIB 5906 and 6906 get sold for 399.00 and not getting one of each. I could kick my own a.. if that would help. Oh well I am not too smart.

Yep. 400.00 is a bargain for a NIB. Probably won't see these in a NIB again, in any large quantity.

Maybe we can demand that cops carry the 5906 all across the USA, and hope for some production overrun and cancellations...

Your deal WAS better. Even if you don't consider that your gun was in better condition, the addtional mag is worth way more than the $6 difference in price.

I managed to pick up a NIB one at a gunshow about a year ago for $420 out the door. It was produced in 1994. It's still unfired. I gotta get around to breaking it in someday.

Has anyone seen one of these CDNN 5906's? With shipping and FFL fees these would be $364.00 OTD for me. I would really like one of these IF they are GTG. BUT My income is far from disposable and my luck is just stupid bad. I'd hate to spend this money and find out these are 50,000 round count rattles.

Yeah, it was. I did find one issue though. I shot both mags with no issues, but when I took them apart to clean them (I was amazed more than once by what I found inside used mags), the follower in one of them came out in 2 pieces. I ordered a few online and replaced that one. I ordered two used mags from CDNN and one was missing the latch plate,so as soon as the gun is picked up, the bottom plate on the mag starts moving around.

My Tanfoglio/Mossad 9mm compact's mag had a large dead spider in the bottom of it, along with a lot of webbing in it. Shot OK, but it's easily the nastiest looking mag I've ever seen. The follower on it had a ton of grease and burnt powder all over it.

I can't speak for these particular guns, but the ones shown with black trigger and hammer should be relatively new. All the gen3 pistols are pretty rugged. There is some risk in buying sight unseen, but they look pretty good to me. I have a 5906 that was probably a police trade in. It had a few cosmetic issues that went away very quickly with a scotchbrite pad. My 5906 is one of my favorite gen 3's. Shoots very well and extreamly reliable.
Does CDNN have any sort of return policy if you get one that is a real junker? I'd call and talk to them about the particular gun you're buying. Scratches, needs new grips, etc. are cheap and easy to fix.
