Model 57 price check and mfg. date please
I recently found a Model 57 no dash, excellent condition, wood presentation case, combat grips, serial number 669457. The case has five rounds and one spent casing in it that appear old. The owner claims that is the only time the gun has been fired. Can you guys give me an idea of what this gun is worth?

Look on the butt and check that serial number again - looks like a factory assembly # to me - should start with a S or a N

I say $500 to $700 depending on condition. I would not pay over $500 but I don't need one very bad.

I'd be all over that one. They are going for almost twice that amount on Gun Broker. I've owned a couple of 57's in the past and regret letting go of at least one of them.

I got this one for $500 plus tax, but that will NEVER happen again. The 57 is my favorite revolver, ever. This one was made in 1979-80.
I reload a lot, so the .41 is a great caliber for me.
BTW - Mine is SN N6695XX

There also seems to be far more nickel 4" 57's available than blue - and I'm not a nickel guy. Wish I'd found that .......

Bought the model 57 today, it is in great shape and appears to have been shot very little. Thanks for the help.
