Default Question regarding The Flag & 9/11

Tomorrow, 9-11-2010 is a day of remembrance of those who gave their lives, many trying to do their job of protecting the general public. Those, aboard the third plane, gave their lives preventing flight 93 from reaching its final target.

In remembrance, I would like to place my large flag at half mast at dawn. Would this be acceptable?

We will never forget.

The post office here has theirs at half mast now. I am going to say that following a Federal Institutions lead would be acceptable.

NYS has ordered all flags at state buildings at half staff for today, and I believe the Federal Government did the same. I got up this morning and dropped mine at the house. It is a sign of respect and whether the State or Government approves of it, I am lowering mine!

Can't lower mine to a half staff. I tied it back so the wind will not blow it. Sad day in our history. I'm sad for the families and for the brave Fire Fighters and Police that died. Senseless loss of many people.

Fly it proudly while you're still allowed.
