M&P 40 Questions
I am seriously considering a S&W MP 40 (full size).
I have not located many on Gunbroker. Is there a right price to pay for one? I believe the S&W rebate for $50.00 is still on.
I did want to ask .40 M&P owners what accuracy they get out of their pistols at around 50'?
That gun fits my hand about as good as any gun ever, and I had a M&P C 9MM and liked it very much, sold it to a friend.
TIA for any posts.

Welcome
Welcome to the forum and M&P ownership.
I like my two M&Ps (9 and 9c) and have never had a problem with them -- M&P forums probably have fewer "problem" reports than a lot of other brands do.
You'll read a lot about the Apex hard sear and enhancement kit for your M&P, and these improvements are worth considering. I have the Apex sear in my M&P 9 and think it works well, definitely good value for the price.
Good luck and enjoy your M&P!

Just picked up one today. M&P full size 40. I got it from Cabelas for 499.95, they had it for 569.99, but they matched the price of a local store for me. I also had a promotional card, now I have $150 credit in there because I spent over $500. Adding the $50 rebate or 2 free mags deal, I think I did pretty good overall! Sweet gun....shooting it tomorrow.

Thanks for the link to Jet, that is a good price!
TY for all the posts.
Regarding what Rover stated I find that the S&W M&P line gets no respect! I cannot understand how such a nice feeling and reliable gun gets little to no press. Maybe that is because it is not a Glock or Sig, I dunno. I don't care much for Glocks and Sigs cost too much. I have a CZ 75 in 9MM another gun that has little respect given to it.
I have owned S&W from the early 70's and have had next to nothing in problems, and I am talking about over 20 pistols.
I think I had a shotgun made by S&W too.

I'm not sure what you mean about not getting respect. BATFE just awarded S&W a ten year contract to supply the M&P40 to their agents. (I believe they get one full size, one compact each.) Other federal agencies can piggyback on the contract.

I just watched a video between a CZ and M&P by NutNFancy on Youtube the other day done @ a gunshop in Utah, granted there 9MM but you may want to give that a looking over.
I find NOTHING special about a glock, I have tried looking at it at all angles.
Too each there own

By not getting respect I mean you don't hear much about the M&P, or see that many at the range.

I bought both of the M&P9s full size and the 9c. I thought they were great polymer guns but I did not like striker fired guns so I traded/sold them both and returned to my 3rd gen. S&Ws. I just love the steel I guess. I do not carry anything so weight was not a factor.

Hey does the S&W rebate pertain to the M&P PRO Series too?

From talking on the phone with them, I understand they are a "major" distributor for S&W, which allows them to offer good prices. And they are shooting for an easy online deal by advertising the "out-the-door, shipped" price on their listings
As long as the 40c that I ordered last week is at my FFL tomorrow waiting for me - then I know that they are a great dealer with far and away the best prices around.
I'll report back soon.

Just curious, I would think that they sent you a confirmation email, was the S&W Part# the same as the one in the link I posted earlier today?
I'm curious as to the reply I am going to get from them at Jet guns also.

I spoke with Jet this morning and I did buy the last M&P 40 Pro they had in stock so the order is in process.
Nice people at Jet!

Picked it up yesterday during lunch, put about 50 rounds through it after work, and all is well. Shot a mix of Fed 180 fmj and Win bonded PDX 180, and it ate them all as expected. The trigger on this one is much better than my FS was out of the box. I'd say they are about equal right now, and my FS has over 1300 rounds through it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with Jetguns.com - great prices, good folks on the phone, and quick delivery. Although I don't really know what to actually call them; the case said Bud's Gun Shop, the invoice said JetGuns, and the card inside the case said Smokin' Guns. Maybe its an identity crisis of some sort, but either way it was a good deal and I'll be back for more before too long.

Wow three Companies in one, that is strange!
Glad you got a good pistol, that's what counts.
I call Jet twice yesterday and Tony on the phone was great.
