Default Misfiring 686

My 686-6 started misfiring today. I have about 1900 rounds through it. I have not changed anything on the gun and I'm using the same ammo that I have not had any problems with. I would get 1 to 3 misfires per cylinder. Most rounds would fire if tried again.

Anybody have an idea on what maybe the problem?

Thanks

Tighten the strain screw. Under the grips, front edge of frame.

And if it won't stay tight (it probably will), then a little Lok-Tite is in order.

The strain screw must be "bottomed out" tight to the frame. Leaving it loose to custom lighten the trigger pull is doomed to fail. Either file the screw shorter (like factory where they have lots of replacement screws) or put a spacer between the screw head and the frame. I use split soft brass washers as spacers.
