Default Safe to dryfire

Is dry firing a S&W 910 going to cause any significant damage/wear to the pistol if I'm using a snap cap?

Thanks.

I do not believe so, as the owner's manual states that dry-firing is fine even without the use of snap-caps.

Correct. S&W says dryfiring is fine with everything except .22 rimfire models.
