Smile S&W Model 10-8

I picked up this gun the other day for 250 I would like to know what year the gun was made. First 4 number are AV85 and on the crane is 10-8 A22 11X36

Looks like 1987, middle of the year roughly.

Good solid S & W for a good price. I have a 10-8 in both 3" and 4" and I bet they will last longer then me.

Good choice on the model 10-8, I just picked one up recently and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite shooters.
