$10 Light Mount
Hey guys I got a new light mount and thought it was a great deal for the money. I don't know the brand but they are floating around eBay for around $10 bucks shipped if you find the right auction. I bought it for my shotgun but thought I'd show it on the 15-22 because its only fitting for the forum.
Basically its an offset type that doesn't protrude out far from the rails and has a 25mm/1 inch inner diameter (fits lights/lasers with 25mm/1 inch body or smaller). Made out of aluminum which is annodized black with steel screws and lockdown nut. It is very "skeletalized" which makes it very light wight which I like. Just another thing I found that for the money, it gets the job done!

They ship from China, so don't expect delivery for 3 weeks or so.

do you think this could be squeezed down to fit a 3/4'' flashlight? i have one im fond of already, but if i got the 30mm it might be useless for me.

You can do what I did and use somehting to "shim" the extra space if you are using a smaller light. The light I have pictured is smaller than 1 inch. I used a strip of non-adhesive tennis racket grip tape to fill it in. The light is in there nice and tight and with something between it and the metal of the mount it wont get all scraped up.

You might actually be suprised. I personally have never bought anything off ebay from out of the country, but had a real good friend buy tons of paintball stuff from china and it showed usally about 10 days or so. Either way for the price you can't really complain.

I have one of these mounts, but the thumbscrew is a lot larger than the one in the OP. I put my Surefire G2 in it for kicks, but ended up deciding I don't need a light on this gun.
It's around here somewhere I think...

Yea mine was actually bought for my 870 Shotgun. But I wanted to show it on the 15-22 for everyone here. If you have someplace to do it you can still use it to practice working with a light and shooting for your AR but with the cheaper 15-22. Where I live in CA I got too many close neighbors to use the AR for HD. So its the 870 with the biggest birdshot that wont go too far past 2 plys of drywall.

I'll see if I can't find the wrench for mine, then throw it in the 15-22 classifieds.
