Default sigma round count

Howdy,
Anyone know the life span of a Sigma. How many rounds can be fired through a Sigma before you throw it away?

Good question. I'm at 500 rounds with no problems.

I am around 1700 with out any problems!!
We have one forum member here that I believe is over 10000 rounds!!

To answer the questions:
1) Longer the yours!
2) More than you can put through it!

The Sigma is backed by the best warranty from one of the best companies!
If it ever gives you a problem you call S&W & they make it better!!

If that doesn't work for ya, I'm with bulletproof,
I have a way to dispose of them properly at no cost to you!!
I will even pay for the shipping!!

BulletProof-I've been to Canton. Toured the Football Hall Of Fame. As I recall it was hot and humid.

JJ-Great news about your Sigma. I'll put another 150-200 rounds through mine this weekend.

I don't know the exact answer to your question, however, I know it is more than most people shoot it in a lifetime.
I got one in 1996 on a deal from S&W for instructors and used it as a trainer/loaner for about 14 years. I finally sold it for $150, still in good working order with a new recoil spring assembly, mostly because I got tired of answering why that one was grey and the newer ones were black.

Lets say you shoot 30,000 rounds at .20 per shot, spending $6000.00 for ammunition. Add $8 every 5000 rounds for a recoil spring assembly adds another $48.00. You could then probably afford to trade in your Sigma, which I would expect to still be working. There would be no cost for a major failure (if any) because S&W would fix or replace for free.

Going to feed mine this weekend! Can't wait, I'm only at about 500 rounds though. This is a topic I have never really given any thought. Mine has worked perfect so far. Sure it will stay that way. I also get to shoot my buddy's S&W 500 this weekend. I'm almost positive that will be a blast

Today I reached the 650 round mark through my Sigma 9mm. Mi Pistola continues to be accurate and reliable.

I put 20 rounds through my buddies new Glock 17. Very nice firearm. He put a magazine through my Sigma, and was very accurate with it. He did mention the trigger pull, but was dead on with it. 5.5lb pull compared to a 10lb. No problems at all.

Vamos!!!!
