Default Bodyguard 38 with internal lock?

One of the online gun websites is advertising a Bodyguard 38 with an internal lock and it is noted as a special edition. Do most of these guns have internal locks? I'd prefer one without, if possible.

Most single/double action S&W revolvers now come with an internal lock. Some models are made without they but as far as I know they have yet to produce Bodyguards without them.

The original bodyguards like the M38 had no IL and the M638 -1 and -2 were pre-IL. The 638-3 started with the IL. I don't know much about the new top break bodyguard 38 but I would guess it does have one.

The new "top break" is not a top break, it just has the cylinder release on top for easy ambidextrous access. There is no internal lock.

The nomenclature is a little confusing, I agree. The 38 Bodyguard and its stainless and steel variants had the "humpback" shrouded hammer configuration. For some reason—marketing, no doubt—S&W changed the word order and designated Bodyguard 38 (BG 38) as the new concealed hammer configured alloy/steel/polymer revolver with its integrated laser.
