I had an SD9 for a while, and I really liked it. It combined the good ergonomics of the Sigma with the good trigger of the M&P. I thought it compared well to a Glock 19, but with a better grip. I traded it, though...which doesn't signify anything, since I trade often. I have a few core "keepers" but I like to try new things.

I didn't know they were offering a "kit". I have both a SD9 and SD40 as well as a M&P and a Sigma. I really like the SD series guns and find it to be a perfect blend of the less expensive Sigma and the more expensive M&P. I prefer the 40 but got the 9mm for my wife to shoot. She is not a very experienced shooter and shoots it well but occasionally has feed issues do to limp wristing. However She is 5'3" and weighs about 115. I have never had an issue with any of the ammo I put through them, including light reloads. Get whichever one suits your needs best.

I have the SD40 and love it. The trigger sucks right out of the box but 40-50 dry firings and it smoothes right out into a beautiful combat trigger.

I have an SD9 I bought about a month ago, and have put 500 rds through with no complaints or problems. I shot both MP 9 and SD40 before settling on the SD9. Grip felt "just right" between Sigma and MP. This is my 1st "plastic gun" so don't have alot of comparative knowledge. Seems to eat up everything I feed it from 147-115 gr.
Only concern is finding compatible accessories (laser sight &/grip, holster) without gambling that M&P or Sigma stuff will fit.

Not a bad combo. Depending on price maybe not a bad deal.

I have one and I love it. I fell in love with the feel at the gunstore when I first picked it up. I had the springfield XD and the SW SD9 in front of me and the SW SD9 felt so much lighter and more comfortable in my hand. I bought it over the XD and it was a lot cheaper. The trigger pull was tight at first but I got used to it. I think they just need to break in, a box of shells later and it was OK. I got 2 extra 16 rd clips and an Armalaser SR1 for it. Dont try to use Sigma attachments though they wont fit the rail is like the MP series.

The Blade Tech holster that came with my MP FS9 works just fine with my SD40.
I would think if a holster is marketed for the MP it will work for an SD.
Good Luck
