Default Another K22 Masterpiece

Found this K22 on a table at the gunshow this weekend, I just had to try on a set of my Ivory as Blue and Ivory is Top shelf for me. When I bought the Ivory in Tulsa last weekend I tried them on a 38 M&P and they were a little undersized on the frontside of the grip frame. they fit the K22 almost perfect. Serial # K169XXX so I guess 1952 would be close. Is missing the screwdriver but I may have one around here somewhere. I also got a signed copy of Parsons S&W Revolvers 1957 book too. Happy Camper

Dan

Default k22

Beautiful 5 screw,
Especially love the combination of speed hammer and the early narrow rib tapered barrel profile...

On a side note
I seem to recall hearing that the cleanest old muscle cars were found in Arizona because there was no humidity...

Looks like that goes for old Smiths and Smith gun boxes too!

Congrats..

My heart is beating faster. Too cool for words.

I completely agree about blue and ivory.

Great find. I missed the last local show here and I am feeling show withdrawal, even though lately all I usually find are the same old guns with the same unrealistically high prices...

Thumbs up

Cool set-up on the stocks. I like a "whole package" deal, box & docs always make it sweeter.
K-22's are always what I look for on the first pass at a show... when I'm also lookin' for 5 screws, N frames and anything with diamond grips!

I agree that blue and ivory are a great combo. But, for that matter, I bet I would like anything and ivory! I wonder how old the grips might be?

Wait until you shoot it, there may not be nearly enough happy faces, mine gives my 41 a run for it. Then again they both have the same handicap (me). Five screw S&Ws border on metal poetry.
