Default Broken load assist button...big deal?

Wife got me a 15-22 as an anniversary present; finally took it out yesterday but the load assist button on the magazine broke off almost instantly. Everything works fine still, but is this an issue of concern? If the other side breaks off is there some functionality issue, or should it still be fine? Doesn't seem like something I'd gripe to customer service/warranty dept. about, unless there are some other issues I'm not aware of.

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving

I think Brett here took the thing off completely and likes it, may even work better staggering the rounds.

I removed mine on my 10rd short mag because it was not allowing the tongue of the mag to come up all the way thus causing FTL issue. Once I removed the load assist, I had no more issues.

Thanks for the quick responses. I guess if it doesn't interfere with function then I have no problem with it.

So, I can pop it all the way out and it's fine? Brett?

As you see their 10/25 magazine does not even have one.

I don't run an A.L.A.B on any of my magazines any more. Mine are neatly packed away in a little zip lock baggie.
