Wink Jeez, it took long enough!

Hi all, on the J frame front here at home, I have some Centennials and Bodygaurds preferreing the hammer out of da way type's, but no plain jane model thirtysix or such. So about two year's ago I set out to rectify this matter hopeing to find a non lock 36 or 37 or even a model 60. Im too sqeemish to buy on an auction site or such and always missed out on one here on our classified section. Folk's around here must be holding on to em, other than a few trashed out one's none to be had. I called one of my pushers this morning and inquired if anything of note had come in and he said he had a nice thirtysix complete with painted red front sight just waiting for me. Well I figured it would be a hammered glove box gun as usuall but off I went on the quest. Well I'll be danged, I found a rather nice blued no dash pinned barrel thirty six with the obilgitory red finger nail polish front site with rubber boot grips on it. Very good timeing and lock up with miminal blueing loss about a 98% gun, serial number indictes a late 1979 manufacture. This one was not shot much at all and carryied a bit. Well we done the paperwork and lo and behold the owner came out with the original numbered to gun grips, said he had em in back but dident put em on the gun yet, hoo-ray! For $336.00 out the door I figure I did all right. We all know what a 36 looks like so I dident bother to take pic's, feeling a bit lazy I guess. I like to start out the month with a new to me handgun and this will fit the bill. If you havent expired from boredom quit yet, thank's for looking!

Bob,
Congratulations on your new little friend. Speaking for myself, I think that some of my sweetest moments in collecting Smith & Wessons has come when I bring home the new baby after a long and arduous search. Heck, if money were no object, I could all buy most anything I want, but the gratification is not so satisfying unless I have put forth some serious time and effort to make it all come together.
