Red face Returning a S&W With The "Plug"

Hi:
Has anyone returned a S&W to S&W Customer Service that had the "IL" replaced with "The Plug"?

If I were you. I would return it to the pre-plug status before sending it in. Just to avoid any "appearance of impropriety".

I'd just pull the plug out, and return it without anything in it. The worst they could do is replace all those tiny ti-ny parts. But, in the process they could throw away your "plug" and you'd have to replace it- so take it out.

Reverse the the process as preformed before.

The question is,Do you really have to send a S&W back?

What's the issue?
