Default How tight should the firing pin spring be (2nd gen auto)?

I'm in the middle of troubleshooting a 469 I just obtained. At first I thought it was somehow decocking itself when I pulled the trigger.

After playing with it I decided the firing pin was not rebounding after the previous shot. So I stripped the slide and found a bunch of gook in the spring was probably jamming up the works. Hopefully problem solved.

But the spring was hard to get out. I had to remove it with a .22 cleaning brush. After cleaning it, it still seems it will have to be forced back into the channel.

Is this the way it's supposed to fit or should it drop right in? Thanks

Replace it, since it is distorted from being jammed.

Yeah, I'd pop in a new one at this point. I've never has a spring that fit that tight.
