credit card for gun & gun related purchases only
Dear Smith & Wesson Forum a couple of nights ago i was taking my evening health treatment and i had an idea come to mind that i would like to share with my fellow forum members. My idea is this a credit card for gun and gun related purchases only. wanna buy a new gun use this credit card, need some ammunition for a range trip or a hunting trip use this credit card. i know this seems like a strange idea but i just had to share it with the forum sincerely and respectfully mg357

That might make it too easy for "Big Brother" to track your gun and ammo purchases.
Along the same line of thought, I use credit card with a NRA logo for all my purchases over a couple of bucks and pay the balance in full each month.
NRA receives a small percentage of the vendor service fee paid by the merchant and when I have no option except patronizing an anti-gun establishment,
I get a kick out of them unknowingly donating to the NRA.
It ain't much, but I've got a weird sense of humor,
John

If it were sponsored by S&W or another major gun-related company and if a % of the proceeds went to the NRA or appropriate conservation efforts, I'd apply. Otherwise, my American Express does nicely.

Here's the NRA Credit Card Link
NRA Credit Cards
Unlike Amex, there's no annual fee.

NRA Card
I do the same card thing that JohnnieB does. and its fine as long as you pay it off monthly, plus they give bonus points that you can cash in for Brownells gift certificates. Works for me.

mg 357.
Yes, been doing just that for many years. I use separate cash and I use a separate credit card to keep the gun collecting/hobby/addiction away from the day to day living expenses. Lets me know just how expensive I am.
As far as the Feds tracking me. They already are.
They are tracking as I type this post.
They tracking my phone calls.
They track my income and spending, you pay taxes, get a bank statement?? You are tracked.
If you are curious as to how you can be tracked, do a Google search on Carnivore, Einstein,Tempset, Echelon. These programs are in the Public Domain and can be read about, they are old ones. I would be certain that there are BLACK programs that have yet to be made public. 9-11 caused the invention of many new things.
I am the Feds. I have worked for Uncle Sam for 41 years, I read what you post. Look at the profiles of the forum members. Lots of folks with LEO badges. Everyone that is legal and on the grid is tracked.
Stay within the law, you won't have anything to worry about.
I like the credit card for the record keeping ability. How much did I pay when purchased 20 years ago. How much should it be insured for. It keeps fun money away from real money.

No credit cards for me. I always pay cash for any firearm or firearms related purchase. When the roundup begin's, let em work for the info needed to hang me.
