Hope MP15-22 with Ser# DUR#### is a good one!
New to this forum. I own an MP15 223 and decided to go with the little brother MP15-22 as well. I'm concerned because I'm a lefty. Anyway I hope the bugs are worked out. Mine will be a DUR serial number. Now if I can only bring back the 4000 rounds of Remmington bulk pack I purchased I'll be set.
Anybody care to post first 3 of their serial numbers and how their rifle is functioning please do. Thanks and love this forum.

Your DUR should be fine, I have a DUU and am also a lefty. No issues, but I haven't shot rem bulk. CCI minimags, Blazer, Federal bulk and Federal Lightning have all worked well for me.

I have a DUU serial. And I have around 5-6K rounds through my rifle ( whos really counting each shell lol) Any way I have not had ANY OOB's and the RARE...RAAARREEE FTF or FTE, and 8/10 times thats due to faulty ammo. I get the occasional(MAYBE 1 out of around 400-500 rounds) stovepipe, but when it does happen its a simple pull of the charge handle and im back in business. Again mostly bad ammo, stick with Federal bulks or CCI and you will be fine. From my own personal experiences, I wil say this much.. Winchester 333 packs are.. WELI..I Cant say "that" word on this forum. so HORIBLE will have to do. lol

Well I stocked up on Remmington 525 count bulk packs and the more I read the more I see it was a mistake. They are ok in my Beretta Neos but I don't think I'll use them on my MP15-22. I guess the DUR I'm picking up tomorrow is fairly new stock. Will look for the recommended ammo. Thanks

My 15 22 "will" take the Remington ammo. But that type of Remington HAS to be the Thunderbolt ammo from Remington. ANY other Remington ammo, and for some reason my 15 22 is one failure factory of a rifle lol. The "golden bullets( golden bombs AKA extractor killers) as I call them from Remington... and its FTF, FTE one after the other. Federal and CCI and it will fire litteraly hours on end. Enough so I need to let the barrel cool at times, and not have the first issue.
But that being said each rifle has a ammo type it "likes" over other types. My 15 22 for example prefers Federal and CCI over all others. Federal is slightly less accurate than CCI, but costs around 18 bucks for 550 rounds. Where as CCI more accurate to a degree, but is slightly more expensive for the 100 packs at 7 bucks. So it boils down to 18 bucks for 550 "slightly"(in my experiences) less accurate rounds, or 35 bucks for 500 rounds of CCI. If its a competition shoot, where accuracy obviously counts above all else then go with CCI, if your just killing time & having fun go with Federal.

I have a 500 box of thunderbolt. I have 6 boxes of 525 Remmington UMC (I guess those would be the killers). So you say you have success with the thunderbolts? I also have some Federal American Eagle. What do you recommend? I can feed the UMC to my Neos.

Yes, ironicly enough. The Thunderbolts are about a $1 and change for a small box of 50 rounds.( walmart) And my 15 22 can fire them pretty much at about 85+% of the time with no failures. But as I said, ANY.. no joke ANY other Remington ammo and my 15 22 seems to want to curl up and die lol. It seems from reading what just about everyone that post here says, that Federal and CCI are the prefered and proven ammo of choice for the 15 22.

DTU about 6-700 rounds.
No OOB, no FTF, no FTE. I shoot CCI mim mag, CCI vilocitor, and Fed bulk pack.
There have been 2 or 3 stove pipes but that's no big deal.

Got mine today....
DUR like I was told. Will add my fore grip tomorrow. Thanks for all the reports. Confident now my DUR should serve me well. As long as I stay away from the Remmington bulk packs.
