Mountain Gun Help

I picked up a 29-8 Mountain Gun a couple of weeks back, I have put about 100 rounds through it and love to shoot it. I have of course like any good gun owner been looking all over the net to find out information about it, with not much luck. Could someone give me a brief history of the 44 magnum mountain gun or a link to info. Thanks
