Sight Adjustment Tool
Does anyone make a replica S&W Sight Adjustment Tool that is both in-expensive and actually usable?

CDNN stocked a flat metal piece similar to the one furnished with Colt revolvers.

Sight screwdrivers that date from 1964 to around 1981 can usually be purchased for $20-25. You can't get much cheaper than that and you get a real S&W item.

Good luck finding one at a gun show. The tools are often there, but usually not on display. If you go seeking one, ask every vendor who has S&Ws on display. Chances are they've got one or two "put back". As with many gun items, asking is the key to finding.
I spent a long time scouring gun shows for the "fluted" style screwdriver (and I've had very bad luck scoring the fluted/flat ground style.) But when I saw them, I'd buy. Then one day at a show in Louisville a vendor had 4 of them under glass. So I asked him "how much" and he replied $5, handing me the group to make my selection. So I handed him a $20. He said "which do you want", and I replied "all 4". His next question was " do you know something I don't?" Yep. That was maybe 10 years ago.
Since that time I found one guy selling them cheap. It was at a small gunshow, and he'd been a busy guy with his sewing machine. He had a tube of plastic, probably the kind a sealer could be used with. But instead he just put in S&W tools and sewed the tops and bottom. He wanted a $1 for each package. Some had cleaning rods, mops, and brushes. Others had screwdrivers. So I bought him out. Yes, I was greedy. But having been a vendor for a long time, I also understand most vendors bring in stuff to sell. If someone buys them out, it just makes it easier for them to go home. Vendors don't ration or trickle stuff out. If or when a space opens on their table, they almost always have a plan B under their table. Other stuff to put out.
That last is why you can't see a gunshow on a single walk thru. An hour or two later it might be a different show entirely. New stuff up on display you haven't seen. Its what makes a gun show interesting.

One thing you might try is posting a "Wanted to Buy" ad in the Forum's WTB section. Doesn't cost anything to post a WTB and you may find someone who is happy to sell you one for a reasonable price.
