What rings and mounts/bases do you guys have on your scopes. I will be mounting a Simmons whitetail 1" tube and 50mm objective.

Any recommendations.

Hey buddy. I placed my Whitetail order last night actually. After much research and some math equations on paper, I opted for weaver mounts in their "medium size". I forgot what the actual height of them is, but you can research that. I went with the 6 bolt variants instead of the 4 bolts for a more tactical look.

I'm teaming the medium weavers up with a 3/4" tapco riser rail which in total will give me the perfect height according to my calculations.

I decided to go with the riser rail and shorter rings because I also use a red dot and iron sights for close range and my red dot co-witnesses with M4 sights perfect using a 3/4" riser. This way o can swap the scope for my red dot by quickly pulling the rings/scope off and leave the riser in place ready for my red dot.

I'd recommend the weaver rings. You'll want the picatinni (sp?) models, not weaver style. Midway stocks them all and has heights listed in the item descriptions.
