Default Cheek Pad

Has anybody put a cheek pad on their 15-22. I was thinking one like this
Blackhawk AR15 Cheek Pad

I have also seen some that have a strap around the butt of the stock to keep it from slipping forward; which would seem extra important on the shape of the 15-22. If anybody has one or tried please respond. Pics if possible. THANKS

I do not have that one, I opted to go for the Command Arms Cheek Rest/Storage Compartment it bolts onto the factory stock.

Default MOE?

Brett, would that work on the Magpul stock?

I looked up the co. web site and they just indicated it would fit quite a few other than the most popular butt stocks.

Regards,

Hobie

I do not know, you would have to ask the manufacturer if it would fit the Magpul.

I have a cheek pad on my Savage .270, Ill try it on my 15-22 tomorrow morning when I go to the range, I also try it on the Magpul MOE stock as well, only difference is mine used like a shoelace setup to secure it to the butt stock, fits great on the standard hunting rifle butt stock, not sure how well it will stay on a standard car stock or MOE, but i will post up pictures tomorrow around noonish for the Car stock, and tomorrow night for the MOE stock, unless someone beats me to it already lol, I will be at the range from 9am to 12pm EST

MagPul makes add-on cheek molds for their stocks specifically. They make them in 3 different heights and they fit and looks awesome on their stocks. They're also cheaper than the Command Arms universal add-on, and come in all colors.

They won't work with the 15-22 from what I can tell.

"This riser is for use on NON AR15/M4 applications as the riser will interfere with charging handle function."

The Magpul riser works great on the MOE stock, but will prevent actuating the charging handle only when the stock is fully collapsed. With the stock extended sufficiently there is no issue. If I were using an AR/M4 for serious social purposes I wouldn't put the MOE riser on it - I wouldn't risk anything interfering with my ability to employ the rifle. No doubt that is the reason for Magpul's caveat. However, with the 15-22, I see no reason not to use the riser. I can always extend the stock before charging.

The Magpul riser works only on the MOE and CTR stocks, however. I don't think it would fit the factory stock.

I'll post a pic if anyone wishes to see one. I have the 1/2" riser on my 15-22 MOE.

I believe the 1/4" pad clears the charge handle, and I knew there was a conflict when the stock is fully collapsed. That's not a concern for me though or most others.

It's still the best looking and best fit and finish quality option in my opinion. Or pick up a Vltor stock with integrated cheek mold.

Great photos! So do you think that the 1/4" MagPul riser would clear, or none of them will? It's tough to tell from your photo angle.

I am liking that Command Arms Stock Saddle (SST1). That may be my next addition.
