The stuff you see at gun shows
Pre-36 snub with the bluing all gone, so rusty the crane was stiff to open and some butcher had bobbed the hammer spur (not cleanly). Price on tag: $249
Nickel M&P 4" in about the same shape also $249
Saw another mundane looking M&P 4" on a different table again all the bluing gone for $250
Meanwhile I paid $185 +tax for mine back in October.
Picked these Pachmayr presentations up for $15 to try. I'm finding the stock wood grips a bit too small and full-on wood targets are usually too big for my taste.

Y'all sure have inexpensive guns down there. I haven't seen a sub-$300 M&P in a long time. I enjoy seeing (and occasionally buying) the dregs no one else seems to want. Sometimes they're real bargains.

Even a rusted busted pre-36 for $250 wouldn't last the day at a gun show here in PA.

Um, guys.... I'm seeing a photo of a M&P, long action gun. No relation to a M36 except it was made by S&W.

Is your gun over-lubed, or is that jam or preserves that got spilled into the action and shows at the top of the trigger?

Yeah... those old beater 44 spl's need homes too.
You step up and do your part to give 'em a good home. And sometimes, they're real bargains.

I had just done a little dry firing to try out the feel with the new grips. Didn't realize I had that much lube in the lockworks.

You shouldn't be so selfish. I'm dedicating my waning years to helping mankind. I'm doing it by giving forlorn old revolvers a warm and comfy home to live in. Its my way of giving back to the hard working guns of yesteryear. It makes me feel good to do my tiny share.
So if you've got an old 44 (or 22) that needs a good home, feel free to donate it to the cause...

All.
Just had the Yuma gunshow. we have no moisture, we have no rust.
Saw Schofield .45 with San Francisco PD marking. Very nice.
Saw lots of pre war and post war 5 screw N frames. Many K frames.
Couple glass cases full of Pythons
Lots of M1 Garands, 1 Johnson rifle, lots of M1 carbines
Colts and Winchesters everywhere, Browning shotguns, P guns and K guns
There was somethere for everyone that had funds to spend.
Great gunshow.
Weather was great too, 70 degrees.
