Default Target Grips, FootBall Style?

This may not be the right place to post my question so please advise if I need to move it.
Have a 19-3 4" on the way to me and know there is a small crack in one of the grips ... Target Style with Football cutouts.
I see some really spectacular looking grips in pictures here now and then but do not know where to find those on the Web
There is also a Member here, I think, who makes some gorgeous looking big Target Style grips but I don't think he has a web site ... his name starts with the letter "K".

Where should I be looking to find reeally great looking big K Frame Target Grips ?
Thanks
Ken

Default post a WTB

Ken,

Post a WTB 'Want to Buy' ad in the classifieds....there are lots of people here that have stuff to sell....the grips that you are looking for are not terribly hard to find, so I would guess that you will get several offers....get some good photos and show us the finished package when you find some.

Good Luck

You may want to wait to examine the crack to see how bad it is and if it can be repaired. I've seen dozens of S&W factory grips that are cracked between the medallion and the top of the horn, some are barely visible.

I don't know if this happens when the medallion is peened onto the washer, or if the fit of the grip is so tight it stresses at the washer and causes the medallion pin to bind in the grip during recoil or if it's something else, but I've seen it enough to know it's not uncommon.

A member here named VM does excellent repair and the member Kurac does unbelievable work in making custom grips.
