Just picked me up a M&P 9mm :)
Sold My Glock G27 due to not really liking the way it felt when shooting. I do carry a G30 though but it feels 100% different than the G27
I wanted to get something more for plinking and just to have fun with and was a little larger
I held the XDM 3.8 in 9mm and the M&P . liked the M&P way better.. Fit better all around
they had a sale on a package deal, 3 magazines, speed loader, holster, ear plugs. lol
Going to go see how she fires Sunday morning. The trigger feels good.
I'll let ya know how it was on Sunday after I get some rounds through it

Congrats. Very nice. I'm looking to get an M&P9 too. Does yours have an internal lock?
Where'd you get the good deal, if I may ask?

I've come to like my M&Ps so well (full size & compact 9MMs) that everything else has been sold. This past year has been an experimental one for me; as a new concealed carry permit holder, it was interesting to try this and that, but the Smiths won the day every time.
Glocks and Sigs were strong contenders, and some other brands...were -ahem- a bit dysfunctional....
My point is, you've made a good choice.

What was the sale price? I would love the kit with the holster and mag holder....
I paid $399 from a local dealer for the gun and three mags. I'd put the holster at $45 and the mags holder at $20, so if Cabela's is selling these for anywhere around $450 I'm going for another!

It was more than that. The gun it's self sells for around $499.
I found a few area's selling the package deal for about $449.
Mine was a little over $500. It was a better deal over the $629 XDM 3.8 the $549 G19( i can get it for $449 but wife hates that place) and the Walther for $689
Only thing about it compared to the Glock. The way it comes apart with not needing to pull the trigger. The time it takes to get the tool or fond something else to move that little lever than pull it apart. I would have already had the Glock apart. No big deal really. This wasn't bought for a carry weapon.

Congrats on the CCW permit. I am happy/glad you took it.
Black friday at Cabela's started at a 3 hour wait for background checks than ended up at, If you didn't have a CCW you were not leaving that day with a firearm due to FBI's phone system going down, LOL
gotta love it.
Depending on how this feels on Sunday. I am going to go look at the sub-compact one. I have to wait for the wife to get a firearm now. We do a rotation. She gets one, than I get one

I just have a question on the package...not being a fan of guns that are other than black (not a fan of OD green or the dark-earth or whatever it's called)...does the package come with the all-black guns? Or would I be limited to the baby-you-know-what brown?
Thanks...

They had some In the package that were all black I think. No 100% sure. the did have the gun it's self in all black in the case.
I wasn't a fan of the color either but I can deal with it. It gives me something different than all black and it's just a play around gun

I am with you on the Glock 26/27; they just do not feel right. I ended up with an M&P 9 compact and love it. It is my most carried gun.
I also have a Glock 30 and carry it sometimes. The compact and full size Glocks are great, but I just do not like those subcompacts.
I may buy a full size M&P 9pro soon too; they are awesome.

The $449 package deal is a great price!
A few of the bigger box stores around here are selling the M&P alone for $490. And they sell them like hot cakes. That's just too much for me when I can call a smaller dealer and get the same exact gun for $100 less.
I will try to get a package for $449 now that I know some dealers are going that low. Thanks!!!

Nice pick up! I have a full size M&P .40 and a .45 compact. I love these guns! The .40 has trigger work and fiber sites. The .45c I just picked up last week. I actually like the dark earth color.

I think it was a sale price. I called one place that didn't have any packages and the gun alone was $499

Just used my new 9mm M&P to qualify for my Texas CHL. What a nice gun. I was making excuses before hand due to new gun but tore out the center of the target by the time I had shot the 50 required rounds for 10 points each. I think it is a keeper and it came with a second barrel that is longer and threaded.
