Default Bodyguard 380

I'm new to Smith and Wesson and the Forum so First Off Hello!!!!

I just got a Bodyguard 380 (EAH) and i'm having issues getting the takedown lever all the way down. i can get it around the 5 o clock position but it won't go down the rest of the way so i can get the gun taken apart. Any Ideas? I might just shoot it and hope that would loosen it a little.

If you think it's hard to take out wait until you try to put it back in the first time ;-) I have a EAF and it came out ok but it took me a half-hour the first time to get it back in. Follow the instructions to the letter. When you go to put it back in hold the gun barrel down so that it is forward.

That is still better than it popping off in the middle of a mag!

I have an EAF waiting for me, can't wait to try it out.

You just have to twist it down hard to the 6-7:00 position then it will pop out. It is very tight but you will get use to it. To reassemble, start it in the same 6-7:00 position and twist it up whilw pressing in once aligned to the hole in the frame. It should snap back in once in the 3:00 (normal) position.

FYI, I took my Bodyguard 380 to the range this morning for the first time and shot 150 rounds of FMJ, 95 grain ammo. I shot a box of Federal American Eagle, Federal Champion and Speer Lawman. It was cold at the range in the high 20's. During the ninety minutes I was there I had six jams where the slide hung up and failed to load a new round. When I pulled and then released the slide the round went in. All of my ejections were clean. I can't say if it happened more often with one brand over another and I am not concerned as it is a new gun, it was cold etc. FYI, the take out pin did not move. I was pleased with the results. I was on the paper at 25 feet with all my rounds using just the iron sights. I did however feel it in my hand after the first 50 rounds and decided to glove up to take some of the shock. It's was a lot harder on my hand than my Sigma 9mm.
