New and hungry for info on a 38 S&W Special ctg
Hello all. Thanks for having me. I was looking to find out a bit more about this 38. It has a 6in barrel, 629... serial with no letters. It has " Made in USA" on it. All numbers inside when opened beginning with 21.
All of this means very little to me due to limited knowledge, but the friend who has left it to me said he loved it.
Thanks in advance as I have viewed many helpful posts here as a guest.

Welcome TW... let us know what's stamped on the barrel, what types of sights(fixed, adjustable, ramped..etc), Grips and other markings. If you open the cylinder look on the frame to see if there are markings there as well.
Any and all pics will really be needed for a definitive ID.

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry to delay on the response, work is eating a lot of time right now. I will try to post pics and barrel info tomorrow.

Welcome from Texas twrekin. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.
I would suggest you post this in the revolver section. Lots more traffic and good folks to answer.
