There is an Eastman gun show in Columbus, GA tomorrow. I had planned to go and take a Model 14-4 I am trying to sell locally. I have it advertised on a couple of GA trade forums.
I just looked at the Weather Underground forecast for tomorrow: 65 degrees and sunny. I ain't going. I would burn up $15-$20 in gas, pay $8 to get in, spend $6 at the Krystal for lunch, and probably wind up trading the revolver for something and paying boot.
I have too many projects going at the farm that need attention; still building fence-working on old building restoration-working on my new shooting range-last but not least, burning up some ammo. The only New Year resolution I made was to shoot more, and so far, despite the weather, I have managed to get out about twice a week and shoot 100 rounds or so. I am not going to spend a 65* January Saturday inside at a gun show.
They will just have to have their gun show without me.
Picture of building I am restoring, with a pronounced list to port. I hope to pull it straight with "come-alongs" and brace it back to plumb, or as near to plumb as I can get a 150 year old building.
