Dunno what the current market value is, but Budsgunshop was selling them for under $600 when they were "closeouts". I thought about getting one but ....

The last price Bud's sows is $556. I remember at one point they were $530 plus S&W was running a $50 rebate. I still kick my self for that one on occassion.

Sorry, I think it is both overpriced and nothing special. One of the many "how many different ways can we package the Model 29" that Smith came up with to move product. Dave

I guess "Bounty Hunter" down the side appeals to the wants to feel tough crowd. To me it's just a decent three inch .44 magnum. But to each their own.

Thumbs up Bounty Hunter

I grabbed one of these 3" bounty hunters from buds and all I can say is "whatchutalkinbout" $550 I think it was. I wasn't even looking for a 44 but saw the deal and couldn't resist. Sold my super blackhawk and now this is my 44.
Added a $35 Uncle mikes shoulder holster and I'm set to walk in the woods, fish or drop a buck or hog.
