10-Round Magazines?
One of the benefits of living in California is that we get to have our very own "California compliant" 10-round magazines instead of the standard 12-round magazines, for the M&P9c. I've tried, to no avail, to load 10-rounds, and the best I get is 9 rounds (really about 9 & 1/2 rounds). Yes, I am using the Maglulu Uplulu loading device. S&W sent me repalcement magazines at no charge, but they too, only hold 9 rounds. Comments?

Semper Fi Desert Guy.
I'm living in a ban state as well. It is a tough nut to swallow but we we live in one. Anyway back to your Q.
The new spring needs to take it's "set" before it will happily accept a full round count. Try loading your mag with the 9 rounds and keep it loaded for a few days. Then try loading round #10. You should find that it will accept it it now, even if it needs a little help. Let that full mag hang out for a couple of days and all your woes should be gone!

How is the Kali law written? Could it possibly limit you to 10 rounds maximum in the gun?

An update: S&W customer support requested that I take my magazines to a local gun shop and request their assistance in loading the 10th round into 10-round magazines. It worked. But you have to load the 10th round by hand; you can't use the Uplulu loading device (which is stated in the small print). However, I found that trying to insert a magazine into the pistol, loaded with 10 rounds, to be very tight fit; requires lots of pressure. Hope this is of intrerest to others. Semper Fi.

It is good to know the Uplulu limitation. Many of us have never used one. The last round is tight in all of mine but has always gone in.

Good thing our state is looking out for us. I suggest you keep them loaded to 9 rounds, as it is really easy to mess up a reload under duress when they are that hard to seat. I am glad I have only had that problem during an IDPA match. Hate to really NEED the gun to work after a reload...

I use an HKS Model GL-940 magazine loader with the 10 round mags for my FS M&P9. Works like a champ and loads 10 rounds without any issues. Just sayin'.

I just got my two free mags from the Born in America rebate program, it took nearly 6 months, and the thing is that they are not the same, one is 12 rds the other is 10 rds. The 10 rds is really hard to load the last round, but with the help of the Uplula, i did get it in. Dry cycle it in my M&P 9C a couple
times, and now it get a little easier...
