Just spotted these and checked a few pages and haven't found anything on them, has anyone fired them yet?
Not as cheap as fed bulks but IMO worth the few extra dollar for what I would assume from cci an awesome bullet.

Actually there is a major thread (currently on page 3). Most like it, but don't like paying the extra money for not much gain. I got some, like it, but doubt I will pay the extra next time either.

From what I gather the idea behind CCI Tac is to reduce feeding problems. Since most folks don't seem to be reporting feeding problems with their rifles...... no need fix what ain't broke.

My son and I have run 6 boxes. 4 through his 15-22 and 2 through mine. No FTF or FTE that where because of the ammo. Errors where ours. I did notice that some of the cases are dinged so keep a close eye on them. Today, we where actually shootin' thumb tacks at 30 yards and having a blast doing it. My local Cabelas has them on sell, 17.84 a box, thats a little over .04 cents a shot. Still way cheaper then shotting its closet relative, the .223 at plus .40 cents a shot.

I just bought a box of blazer, tactical, and both the mini mag hv and hp....

Guess we will see.

So far, the most accurate for me have been the CCI Tactical. I've tried the following in my 15-22. For what it's worth, I've rated each from 1-10 as far as my accuracy. Unless someone locally starts selling them, I won't make a trip to Cabela's just to get these however. I've not tried CCI MiniMags to compare them to the Tacticals.

- Winchester Super X - 1435fps (6) ** had multiple failures to fire with these **
- Winchester Super X - 1280fps (6) ** had multiple failures to fire with these **
- Winchester Super X - standard velocity (7)

- Eley Sport (8)
** A guy at the range gave me about six boxes of these because they would not cycle in his pistol. I tried them in my 15-22 and was really impressed by the accuracy. He said he picked them up at a gun show 'really cheap'. They smell really strange after shooting them. I think they are made in Mexico and might be eating a hole in my barrel **


I know a bunch of folks really like the CCI Stingers, but my gun won't shoot them accurately. I get lots of flyers.

I have not had any feeding or ejection issues with any of the brands I've tried.
