Help, need an Opinion
Hello, I am a lurker but have found a need to ask a question.
I'm looking at a very nice Model 65 three inch round but. The gun is not pinned or recessed and no box or paperwork. It is older (no safety or mim and a solid barrel). The trouble is they are asking $499.00 + and I think that is a bit high. Again, the finish and factory wood grips are pristine.
Maybe if it was pinned and such I would be more excited.
Is it worth it?
Thank You in advance.

Thats about the going rate, locally for a pre lock/pre MIM 3" 65.
Yes, it's worth it! Buy it, shoot it, love it! Regards 18DAI.

If you want it and can afford it - get it. Like they say, "You can't pay too much for a gun, just too soon."

Even if it's not P&R, it's a great weapon. Price is a bit higher than I paid for one 3 or 4 years ago, but probably not out of line for a 3" 65 in great shape.

I bought one a few months ago off Gunbroker for $475. I think that's a typical price...some are priced much higher but anything under $500 is reasonable for a nice one IMHO.

I would think about $450, but we're only talking $50, so it depends on how much you want it.
One of the best guns ever made.
3" is one of my favorite barrel lengths. Here is my 625 3"

The 3 inch barrel length is hot right now, and hard to find. Go for it, you won't regret paying the extra $$, you will regret passing on a fine firearm you really like!
A month ago I plunked down top dollar for a 29-3 because it was the cleanest I'd come across in over a year.

I don't think you'll find a nice one anywhere for much less. You might shoot for about $475 OTD, but if they are firm it's still not out of line.

Thanks for the nudging.
