Default S&W box

I have a black/blue hard box for a 44 magnum with a s/n on the bottom which is hard to read and it looks original. Can someone tell if either one of these s/n would be a 5 screw 44 magnum.s130475 or s130975 ??
I believe it would have to be a 5screw because the box has the early sliding button latch. Any help appreciated .
Leon

Welcome to the Forum!
Definately a five screw and an EARLY one at that. What is the barrel length in the case? How about some pictures?

The box is not very good and stripped of interior. I am sure it could be "aftermarket" replaced but would not be original. Will try to work out the picture thing. I thought I could tie it to the original gun but I don't know which one of the s/n is right.

Leon - it sounds original and not aftermarket. I've seen striped, beat up ones like you've described sell for a couple hundred dollars - it has value.
