Default Old One Line Address K22 Shooter **UPDATE - Range Report**

Everybody keeps talking about what great shooters the old K22's are, so I decided to find out for myself. Looks like she's seen plenty of use, but timing and lock-up are perfect and the bore and chambers are bright and shiny. I plan to clean her up a little and head out to the range in a few days. Might even take my 617 along for a little competition. I'll post a report when I do.

They are a lot of fun to shoot. A good .22 revolver is a wonderful thing--cheap ammo and plenty of practice.

I think the thing I like the most about the old .22s is the action; the long throw of the hammer.

You will love it as they are great shooters and wonderful revolvers. Just keep the cylinders clean as they have tight chambers and so extracting spent cases can get tough it not clean.

A single line address K-22 shooter.

It's like driving a '69 Z-28 in the rain.

I do it all the time, makes the purests cringe.

Yep, they were originally designed and built to shoot (or drive, as the case may be). The previous owner obviously used this one a lot but also took pretty good care of it, and I plan to do the same.

My 1 liner is very accurate. Likes different ammo, not real fussy. Makes me look like I know what I'm doin. Larry

Heres my old 6" K-22. 4 line address. I bought it several years ago at the Houston Gun Show for $100.00. It had been through one of the Houston floods and had no finish left. Mechanically tight, perfect bore and original diamond magnas on it.

As mentioned above, makes me look like I know what I'm doing. It is highly accurate with anything I put through it. I have shot every variety of small animal and reptile in my part of Texas with it. Taught a couple of new shooters pistol marksmanship with it too. It has finished off lots of whitetail, hogs, and even a New Mexico Pronghorn.

Last year at the San Antonio Gun Show I spotted a chopped up and plated Victory wearing the shown Diamond Target grips. I was going to buy the revolver for the asking $250.00 just to rescue the grips. Instead, I asked the guy if he would take $50.00 for them and he almost turned his table over getting a screwdriver!

Those nice grips are all the vanity this old girl has left in her. She is pure performance. She is all about putting 40 grains of lead exactly where I wish it to go. I also shoot the 60 grain Aquillas and other assorted junk out of her and she tolerates it all very well, trying her best to hit whatever aimed at.

What a fine revolver. Sometimes I feel guilty about the condition of the finish and think about some parkerizing or bead blasted blue, but the I would have to take better care of her. One of the reasons she gets used so much is because she is always with me and I don't have to worry about pampering or cleaning her.

I think I'll leave this K just as she is and continue to put her to her highest intended use, shooting.

I just couldn't stand it any longer. Even though I had serious time constraints today, I had to take the old girl out and see what she could do. I put about 60 rounds down the pipe, and can't wait to go back with a lot more time and ammo. I just wonder what she could do in the hands of somebody who can REALLY shoot...

Your "One Liner" looks very good in the photos and be glad it is not an unfired version, this one will be exercised often and seems to be very co-operative when you are holding it. Good Shooting, and nice group!

Don't be ashamed to shoot it off the top of a shooting box or something stable. I do it all the time cause it gives me the results of someone that shoots good. Larry
