Database for matching grips to guns???
Has anyone tried/thought of trying to start a list where we can list stocks that are numbered in hopes of maybe reuniting them with their rightful guns. I know I have several pairs of stocks that are numbered, but not to my gun. I would be willing to trade/sell/whatever to help them find there way home. Has anyone tried this?

I suggested that about 2 years ago, as have others, it hasn't gone anywhere.

This is still a great idea. I thought I would resurrect this thread. I have a box full of loose stocks (as I'm sure most of us do).

Good luck with that. I think it would be next to impossible to do. I have several numbered sets I have acquired over the years. A few I know where they came from but others are gun show purchases, trades etc.

There is a Luger mag matching service done by Don Hallock and I hear there is a service to match 98K bayonets and scabbards. It has been done and it could be again.
