Default New M58 experience

Picked up a nice M58 awhile back, my first .41, and it took me awhile to amass some ammo, dies, brass & bullets. So yesterday I took it to the range for the first time, and now I understand why it didn't do well with cops early on. The recoil with those PC Magnas is nothing short of brutal!
Anybody got a set of beat-up N-targets they'll sell cheap? I'll reshape those to fit my paw, as I'm very interested in doing some load development for this cannon. I've shot .45 ACP/AR, .44 Mag & .44 Spl. for years, but this .41 a new adventure!

Been my favorite recipe for years! As far as recoil goes on your 57 it's hard to beat a set of rubber grips to absorb full powered rounds. They ain't pretty but do their job. Them magnas are great for .38's but definately not for a .41 mag with magnums.

BTW congrats on buying my all time favorite model and caliber. Have 4 of them and my oldest (6.5" no dash) has 38 deer to its name. The .41 will take any animal on North America with the right load and is fun to shoot with the already mentioned load.

I will second the suggestions for a light Unique load. I prefer 7.0 and also strongly recommend some rubber grips.
